ABOUT THIS EVENT

Stimela Events in collaboration with Sandstone Heritage Trust presents The Maluti Wanderer.

We charter two Lawley 4-4-0 locomotives (NG97 and BR7) and a consist of wagons to recreate spectacular scenes of yesteryear and narrow-gauge operations. We make use of their Bristol Bus as transport for participants as well as a prop and also the Sentinel Steam Waggon - truly an adventure not to be missed by photographers nor rail enthusiasts!

Sandstone Estates is a farm located in the Eastern Free State and is known for its collection of steam engines, rolling stock and vintage vehicles. This railway photographic charter is a fantastic opportunity for railway enthusiasts and photographers alike to capture the beauty of these trains and the surrounding landscapes.

The charter allows photographers to have exclusive access to the railway line, enabling them to capture stunning shots of the iconic Lawley narrow-gauge steam locomotives in action.
